After having already updated the main floor of this beautiful home, the assignment here was to renovate the primary and hall baths upstairs. The primary bath involved some slight space reconfiguration, removing the dated behemoth built-in tub and expanding the shower footprint slightly. The kids' hall bath was a smaller project, in which we kept the existing shower/tub enclosure, which was a simple white tile and tub in good condition, and replaced the floor, counter, lavatory faucets/sinks, and bath accessories, along with the kids' height vanity for a regular-height vanity for the teenagers now using the space. For the primary bath, we focused on warm Walnut cabinetry with stunning marble tile in a variety of shapes and sizes across surfaces to add visual interest and texture. A mix of brass and black plumbing, lighting, and accessories were applied to the design. The homeowner's green thumb allowed for beautiful biophilic detail, playing up the magical natural light in the space. Across the hall, the teens eventually settled on a beautiful saturated blue-green cabinet color and a cool-toned 3-inch marble hexagon floor tile, with black fixtures and accessories — a compromise the teen son and daughter negotiated so they could both feel just how they wanted in the space. We also added a custom stair runner to the wood stairs to add warmth, safety, and functionality to that rich detail in the home.

“Tashia was so helpful, not only from start to finish, but beyond that! I asked Tashia to create an idea board, as I was overwhelmed by the options out there for decor. Tashia was able to take my convoluted description of what I hoped to achieve and distill it to a few beautiful pieces that fit my taste and budget. My project occurred in phases and she continued to guide me throughout the process so I could feel assured that I was making the right choice. She pivoted when needed, was excellent with communication, timely, and wonderful to work with.”
