If you’re here because you wish your house would magically feel like home, you’re in the right place. Self-ish Living sprung to life from many seeds, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Tashia, Self-ish Living Designer and Owner.
My life has been a kaleidoscope — in geography, education, career, and personal/family development — and one of my greatest joys in life is weaving together experiences and expression, so my designs can easily flex with my clients. No one-note design here.
I started my career in graphic design, online communication, and marketing. After welcoming my second son to the world, I left the corporate world to join a residential designer and architect. We worked together as a small but mighty team for nine years, bringing hundreds of remodel projects to life, learning valuable lessons with every project and bringing so many families more beautiful and functional homes.
I am now thrilled to bring my experience and expertise to you through Self-ish Living, an interiors shop delivering curated solutions for your unique needs. Whether you need an interior refresh or a full overhaul, I will guide you through the design process, curate finishes, and manage construction.
My goal for your space is to reflect and truly meet the needs of you and your family. Every mood board, finish meeting, and design is different because every house should truly feel like home for its inhabitants.
As a mom (of boys and fur babies), partner, wellness and environment lover, and professional, I wear all those hats when I make design and product recommendations. If I wouldn’t do it in my own home, I’ll steer you right because I understand, truly, that every project is an investment of precious time and resources. It’s a big deal to you, and it matters to me that we get it right.
While smart investment for resale is a minimum requirement for any project, I also pledge to steer you in the direction of beauty, function, longevity, and liveliness in our work together. Home should always be the place we feel most vibrant and ourselves, hence the name “Self-ish Living!” If you’re not there yet, let’s bring you home.
