The historic home is in the absolute heart of Washington Park, one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Denver. The owners have rental properties in Denver and live in Idaho, so they needed a hand managing this project from afar. While we were conscientious of budget for a rental property, it was also important to the owners to be thoughtful about quality choices appropriate for the upscale neighborhood and potential resale. On top of all that, the first renters would be their newlywed son and his wife, starting their family in this beautiful home. The assignment was to rework the highest traffic areas fully — kitchen, mud room, laundry, and primary bath — with some surface updates in a few other spaces, all with the perfect balance of budget-friendly plus timeless and elegant. We went with a very neutral color palette, but with thoughtful touches of pattern and texture where we could do so without sacrificing function. There's lots of white in this one, which brightened up the darker woods in the space and made the kitchen feel so much more spacious. The result was clean, crisp, and perfect for a fresh start!

“Tashia was so helpful, not only from start to finish, but beyond that! I asked Tashia to create an idea board, as I was overwhelmed by the options out there for decor. Tashia was able to take my convoluted description of what I hoped to achieve and distill it to a few beautiful pieces that fit my taste and budget. My project occurred in phases and she continued to guide me throughout the process so I could feel assured that I was making the right choice. She pivoted when needed, was excellent with communication, timely, and wonderful to work with.”
